Background http://www.kjti.co.uk/

Owing to its altitude, much of the Northern Areas of Pakistan has a fairly mild climate, not dissimilar to Southern France during the summer. There is no monsoon and, generally, a very low chance of precipitation, although the weather at higher altitudes can be very changeable, and you can always find patches of snow on the ground. In short, you’ll spend the vast majority of your time trying to keep cool, with only one or two nights where it is necessary that you wrap up. The land itself is extremely complex, covering the convergence of four major mountain chains: Pamirs, Hindu Kush, Karakorum, and Great Himalaya. The diverse range of environments, everything from temperate to alpine to desert to volcanic, go hand-in-hand with the people that live there.
