Eastern Dates and Prices

Eastern Itinerary

 

Day 1:

Orientation and Introduction in Rawalpindi. You will be supplied with your shalwaar chemise. Short Trek to the green and cooler Menshera.

Day 2:

Menshera to Chilas. Changing from green valleys to raw barren Karakorum.

Day 3:

On to Hunza and Karimabad to see awesome peaks that surround the KKH including Rakaposhi (26,000ft)

Day 4:

Karimabad/Passu. Heading further towards China to explore more of the massive peaks to take your breath away

Day 5:

Gigit: The largest town in Northern Areas connecting China and all mountain villages.

Day 6 and 7:

Tarashing: Passing through Astore valley reaching the foothills of Nanga Parbat; 27000 ft. 5th highest in the world

Day 8:

Plains of Deosai: Journey across one of least accessible areas in the world. Because of the isolation of the place, we camp here.

Day 9:

Skardu; The hair raising trek from Deosai to Skardu: the capital of Baltistan

Day 10:

Khupulu: Travel further east to the isolated village of Khupulu, with views of the South Wall of the Inner Sanctum and Masherbrum I. Return to Skardu.

Day 11:

Chilas: After seeing the naked face of Nanga Parbat on route

Day 12:

Naran: Travel through awesome Babusar Pass.

Day 13:

Naran: Walk to Saiful Muluk Lake

Day 14:

Return to Rawalpindi

Western Itinerary

 

Day 1:

Orientation and Introduction in Rawalpindi. You will be supplied with your shalwaar chemise. Short Trek to the green and cooler Menshera.

 

Day 2:

Menshera to Chilas. Changing from green valleys to raw barren Karakorum.

Day 3, 4:

Gigit: The largest town in Northern Areas connecting China and all mountain villages. Explore the town and surrounding.

Day 5:

Gupis: The Northern Areas connecting route to Chitral.

Day 6:

Shandur Pass: A camp at 12000 ft. plateau near a lake. In the second week of July, Polo is played at this highest polo ground in the world

Day 7:

Chitral: The North Eastern town, a real mix of Afghan and Pakistan. View of Trich Mir 7,708 meters highest peak of Hindu Kush.

Day 8:

Garam Chashma: Hot springs from one side and cold streams from other side. This is Afghan trading route to Pakistan through Hindu Kush.

Day 9, 10:

Kalash: Unique isolated people. Explore village surrounding of Rombir

Day 11:

Dir: Travel through awesome Lowari Pass 3200 meters.

Day 12, 13:

Peshawar: Shopping on 'the City' and an optional day trip to soak in the history of the Khyber Pass on the border of Afganistan

Day 14:

Rawalpindi

Due to limited spaces, bookings are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis, and are subject to the booking conditions and must be accompanied by a cheque for deposit made payable to ‘KJTI.’ The prices listed are for four persons sharing a jeep but for a small extra cost the number can be restricted to three only. In addition to the Jeep Trek and K2 Concordia Trek, KJTI does not itself book flights but can recommend an ATOL agent. The flight price is normally £499+tax. KJTI can also arrange a Pakistan Visa from the High Commission, London.
