About KJTI Karakorum Jeep treks
International (‘KJTI’) was established to provide a true image of Pakistan by promoting tourism through
immersive cultural trips. In 1995, KJTI started trips of the Northern Areas
of Pakistan through the In January 1999 KJTI was
registered and started advertising in tour magazines and at travel
exhibitions. In less than two years KJTI became a well known and well
respected adventure tourism operator. The following year, KJTI was
commissioned by Pilot productions to organise travel and to provide technical
help for the production of a film for the 'Discovery Channel'. This included
organising a helicopter flight to Today KJTI runs a number
of trips that are variations on our tried and tested basic jeep tour. In
addition to this jeep trek, we offer several ‘bolt-on’ expeditions; our ‘K2
Trek’, for example, includes a complete jeep tour of North Pakistan followed
by an unforgettable walk across the Baltaro glacier, which ranks as amongst
the highest peaks in the world, including K2 (second only to Everest). We
also offer a China Tour to Kashgar after crossing one of the highest
international borders in the world at 16,000 feet. The trip means that travellers see the
Pamirs and its central Asian people. The 21-day treks, still
our most popular trip, also includes trip to meet the Kalash people and the
famous polo festivals. In a typical year these trips fill quickly, and as we
accept booking on a first-come-first-served basis, we highly recommend that
you book early to ensure that you reserve the dates you prefer. A summary of
all Treks and prices are available on this website, and although these prices
do not include flights we do have a special long term relationship with Pakistan
International Airways that allows us to get the seats you desire. Remember: Jeeps,
Mountains and Adventure Travel in North KJTI does not itself book flights
but can recommend an ATOL agent. The flight price is normally £499 + Taxes. |
